The gang had the pleasure of speaking to Jason Pine from Radio Sport NZ on the Daily Football Show to help analyse the current predicament of the Wellington Phoenix.
Refreshing and open, Pines said he understood the FFA’s perspective on the matter but the future of professional football in New Zealand was “life support.”
The Phoenix were rejected a 10-year A-League license extension yesterday by the FFA, and it was more than just the decision that the New Zealand football fraternity were aggrieved about according to Pines.
Apart from a short media release, the FFA have not publicly commented on the decision, putting the club in a difficult position and the Phoenix fans clueless as to their future.
