Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen to bring Angel Di Maria to Stamford Bridge, according to Spanish sports magazine, Don Balon.
It was reported the attacker has been unhappy at Paris Saint Germain since the arrival of new manager Unai Emery in June.
Chelsea need some inspiration after their current form slump. Conte’s side have picked up just one point from the previous three matches, conceding seven goals. After six matches, The Blues sit in eighth spot with 10 points, with their problems multiplied after a crushing 3-0 defeat against Arsenal.
The 28-year-old Argentine is eager to return to England, after his first stint was one to forget. Di Mariascored three goals and produced 10 assists in 27 appearances for Manchester United during the 2014-15 season after being signed by Louis van Gaal for £59.7m.
Di Maria’s move has looked to rejuvenate his form and confidence. He starred with 10 goals and 18 assists to help the French giants clinch the Ligue 1 title last season.
Chelsea’s next match comes against Hull City on Saturday, before hosting Leicester City at Stamford Bridge the week after.
