A Sir Alex Ferguson led conference saw 54 of the world’s top football managers take part in a detailed technical review of UEFA EURO 2016.
Australia’s Ange Postecoglou was the only coach from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to attend the event. He rubbed shoulders with the finest national coaches in the business and was clearly thrilled to have been in attendance.
“It was a fantastic opportunity to attend the UEFA EURO 2016 football conference to spend time talking football tactics and trends from the EURO 2016 with some of best coaches and football brains in world football,” said Postecoglou.
“Our presence at the conference in Paris shows Australia’s stature as a footballing nation is growing and interaction of this kind will only assist in the development of our football.”

The professional development opportunity was an incredible one for the Socceroos manager as he looks to continue his team’s impressive start to the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers.
The Socceroos’ next stop on the ‘Road to Russia’ is an away trip to Saudi Arabia, followed by a home tie against Japan in early October.
