Queens Park Rangers produced a dominant display at Loftus Road overnight to defeat Leeds United 1-0.

The home side reveled in the second-half return of top goal scorer Charlie Austin, who found the net after a lovely corner from Ale Faurlin. The win puts Rangers into 12th, five points away from a playoff position.

QPR

Rob Green – 5.5: Rarely threatened, but his reactions at times can be questionable to say the least.

Grant Hall – 7: You can barley fault the young defender at the moment and he showed again a composure well beyond his years.

Nedum Onuoha – 7: Has looked a better player recently with fewer defensive slip-ups, while utilising his attacking nature when the opportunity arises.

Paul Konchesky – 5.5: Decent outing for the loanee, though this age showed.

James Perch – 5: Not the same player that he was at Wigan, however, he worked hard for the 90 minutes.

Yun Suk-Young – 5.5: Shows great pace and enthusiasm on the ball, but his new midfield role is still up for debate.

David Hoilett – 6.5: His game has been rejuvenated in the last few weeks and once again showed a more consistent demonstration of the ability he had at Blackburn.

Matt Phillips – 6: Had the staying power this game and was switched on for 90 minutes.

Sandro – 7: His defensive abilities gave assurance to Rangers’ back four, while linking-up well with Faurlin.

Ale Faurlin – 8: The Argentine was all class, playing as if it were 2011 again. Should have made more of his set pieces though.

Michael Petrasso – 5.5: A fairly impressive full debut from the youth product. Was not afraid to run at defenders and found his teammates when necessary.

Substitutes

Tjaronn Chery – 6: Brought excitement into Rangers’ game in the second period. Really should have put one past Silvestri, however, when Austin found him 12-yards from goal.

Charlie Austin – 7.5: The man is truly a football player. His work rate, ability and passion are evident every time he steps on the pitch. Instinctive header to give QPR all three points.

Karl Henry – 5.5: Short cameo for the defensive-midfielder.
