Perth Glory reached their second successive FFA Cup Final with a deserved 3-1 victory over Melbourne City at nib Stadium.

Perth Glory

Ante Covic – 7: Did well when called upon, making particularly good saves from a Jack Clisby header and an Aaron Mooy thunderbolt.

Josh Risdon – 8: Solid at the back, although slightly more restrained than usual going forward in the first half. In the second half, he flew forward and both he and his side looked a lot better for it.

Dino Djulbic – 8: Man of the match. Had a tough task handling the pace of Stefan Mauk and Steve Kuzmanovski, but more than handled it. Made two crucial interventions to stop certain goals.

Michael Thwaite – 7: Another strong performance from the centre-back, a sight Glory fans are used to seeing. Helped keep the attacking trio of Kuzmanovski, Mauk and Fornaroli from scoring.

Marc Warren – 7: Started well in the first half and made some strong challenges, none more important than the one to deny Mauk a goal. Apart from one underhit pass to Djulbic, a good debut.

Chris Harold – 6: His touch let him down a few times too many and as a result, failed to have the impact he would have liked. Managed to attone for it by nabbing Perth’s third goal.

Gyorgy Sandor – 7: Another game, another goal for the talented Hungarian. Made his passes count and held possession when he needed to.

Mitch Oxborrow – 6: Tidy in possession, but failed to have the same influence he did against Wellington. Was taken off at half time to make way for Diogo Ferriera.

Nebojsa Marinkovic – 6: A quiet game from the Serbian. When he got on the ball, did the right thing, but failed to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

Diego Castro – 7: After a slow first half, came into his own in the second. Showed his skill and poise on the ball and single-handedly created the second goal.

Guyon Fernandez – 6: Again struggled to offer a legitimate scoring threat up front, but was more involved in the game than he was in previous outings. His pressure forced Garrucio’s own goal in first half injury time.

Substitutes

Diogo Ferreira – 7: Added some grunt in the middle of the park, shielded the defence well and made his passes count.

Sidnei – 6: Got on the ball often, but failed to really test a tiring Millar. Could have scored if he had have reacted quicker to a Risdon cross.
