Fresh off a coffee date with new boy Luis Garica, Central Coast Mariners captain Nick Montgomery says the 37-year-old has already made a good impression among his new teammates.
Garcia trained for the first time today after arriving in the country yesterday, and is a chance to make his A-League debut tomorrow night against the Western Sydney Wanderers.
“He came in and within two minutes he was one of the boys,” he said.
“To be honest he’s such a humble guy. We’ve got such a young squad and they’re all excited to see someone who’s won the Champions League and been at big clubs like Liverpool.”

With Garcia bringing worldwide attention to the A-League, Montgomery says the Spaniard’s arrival will have league-wide benefits and is looking forward to playing alongside him.
“It’s great to have someone with a bit of experience in our final third,” he said.
“Fantastic for the club and probably the only world renowned marquee in the A-League this season.”
