The Croatian becomes the club’s sixth addition during the current transfer window after signing from Dinamo Zagreb.

Napoli have completed the loan signing of Croatia international Marko Rog from Dinamo Zagreb.

The deal includes a loan fee of €1.5 million as well as an obligatory sum of €12.5 million being paid at the end of the 2016-17 season to purchase the player outright.

Partenopei president Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed the signing in a series of tweets on Monday, while also lauding the midfielder’s versatility as one of the key reasons for the transfer.

“After passing the medical examination, we can finally announce the acquisition of another great player for Napoli,” the 67-year-old wrote.

Twenty-one-year-old Rog has made four appearances for his country, with one of those being a highly impressive display in the 2-1 victory over Spain in Euro 2016.

Rog was also instrumental in helping Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb qualify for this season’s UEFA Champions League, scoring three times in six appearances in the qualifying rounds.

The Croatian follows Arkadiusz Milik, Amadou Diawara, Piotr Zielinski, Lorenzo Tonelli and Emanuele Giaccherini in joining the Stadio San Paolo side over the summer.
