Mauro Icardi has revealed Juventus is one of the teams he loves to score against, following Inter Milan’s 2-1 home victory over Juventus.
“Juventus are one of my favourite teams to score goals against,” The Argentine told Mediaset Premium.
Despite being thrilled with his equaliser and assisting Ivan Perisic for the match-winning goal, Argentinean is staying grounded.
“We can’t just play one good game. We must continue like this,” Icardi said.
Icardi has scored four of Inter’s five goals so far this season. It’s an important three points for Frank de Boer’s side, claiming their second victory of the season, and inflicting Juventus’ first defeat.
The 23-year-old gave his backing to de Boer, explaining how difficult it can be for new coaches in the Serie A.
“It’s hard for coaches in football. They teach us things, but we are the ones who step on to the pitch and have to put it into action. It’s always the coach who is penalised, but from the start De Boer gave us great hunger, told us to press high and we managed it,” Icardi said.
