Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri says there is still plenty of room for improvement in the team after victory over Dynamo Kyiv in his side’s opening Champions League match.

Summer signing Arkadiusz Milik continued his impressive start to life at the club with a brace handing the Italian side a handy three points.

“There were a few more errors than usual, hopefully down to the emotion and tension of such an important match,” Sarri told reporters following the result.

“After taking the lead, we remained in the perennial uncertainty between wanting to finish it off or control the lead.

“We discussed it in the locker room and I am happy that they see it the same way I do; they weren’t very happy with the performance.

“The fact remains winning our first Champions League game of the season away from home is a precious result. We broke the ice, but have a lot to learn from this match. We were focused on getting a success here and we did it. Overall it all ended well for us.”

Sarri’s side will now return home before turning their attention to this weekend’s match against Bologna.
