If this vision is anything to go by, Melbourne Victory fans, get excited for the season ahead…

In his first appearance back for the club, Marco Rojas scored what Victory fans will be hoping the first of many goals this season in their 3-1 win over Sydney FC behind closed doors.

Besart Berisha opened the scoring on 16 minutes slotting a penalty after new signing Mitch Austin was fouled in the box.

Three minutes later, Sydney’s Brandon O’Neill, who joined the club from Perth Glory in 2015, equalised with a fierce shot from outside the box.

Rojas then tucked away his first goal in his first appearance back in the blue and white on 36 minutes, finishing well from a James Troisi cross on the counter, as the home side went into the half with a 2-1 advantage.

A scintillating passage of play that will have Victory fans chomping at the bit.

Former Central Coast Mariners winger Austin then further pressed his claims for first-team selection by scoring in the 69th minute to put Victory 3-1 up.
