Matthew Leckie continued his good form for both club and country overnight, starring for FC Ingolstadt despite their 3-1 loss to league heavyweights Bayern Munich.

The visitors got off to a flyer thanks to Leckie, with his perfectly weighted pass sending Dario Lezcano in on goal in the eighth minute, the first goal Bayern had conceded all season.

It wasn’t long after before Bayern clicked into gear, almost instantly cancelling out Ingolstadt’s opener before running out 3-1 winners.

Leckie had several chances to get on the scoresheet himself, only for Manuel Neuer to prove unstoppable in goal.

Elsewhere, Tomi Juric continued his good form for FC Luzern, leading them through to the last eight of the Swiss Cup with the opening goal of their 3-0 win at FC Ticino.

The Socceroos striker displayed his trademark strength and aerial prowess to score from a corner in the 80th minute, the first of three goals in seven minutes.
