LA Galaxy gloveman Brian Rowe had a moment to forget in their MLS matchup against Real Salt Lake on Wednesday night.

Galaxy speedster Emmanuel Boateng gave the visitors the lead with a sublime finish after six minutes, but his strike would be cancelled out in comical fashion.

Still leading 1-0 after 53 minutes, Rowe gestured to his defenders to allow the ball to run through to the goalkeeper.

What happened next, well… is something that no goalkeeper will want to happen to them.

The gloveman dallied, allowing Real attacker Joao Plato to pile on the pressure and nip in.

The striker reached the ball first, rendering Rowe powerless except to bring the attacker down and ultimately leave him red-faced. To make matters worse, Plato dispatched the ensuing penalty, cancelling out Galaxy’s 1-0 advantage.

Rowe’s blushes looked to have been spared at Rio Tinto Stadium with Galaxy re-establishing a 3-2 lead, but a late RSL equaliser saw the game end in a 3-3 draw.
