Kerem Bulut officially returns to Western Sydney

Western Sydney will officially welcome back playmaker Kerem Bulut to the A-League on a two-year deal.

Having gained cult status in his first stint with the club in 2015, which saw him register five goals in nine apperances, the 24-year-old returns to the Wanderers after spending 2015-16 with Greek side Iraklis.

“It’s great to be here, I had a bit of a rough season last year so it’s good to be back,” said Bulut.

“We’ve got a big season coming up with the league and the Champions League, the new squad is looking perfect and it’s just good to be around at the club that I love.

“There are big goals to achieve this year – from the coaching staff to the boys we want to finish on top in the league, go as far as we can in the Champions League and on a personal note I want to help the team and score 15-20 goals.”

Western Sydney CEO believes that the return of the New South Wales native will bring positive changes to both the “Kerem is a fantastic character with a lot of good qualities both on and off the pitch,” he said.

“When you see him doing the community work or interacting with fans at the match, you can see he is looked up to by a lot of young kids.

“It is great to have him back in his hometown representing the region that we all feel so passionately about and we are all looking forward to having him back at the Club.”
