The high-profile meeting between Tottenham and Liverpool ended in an intense 1-1 stalemate at White Hart Lane earlier tonight.
Danny Rose’s second-half strike earned the hosts a share of the spoils, who failed to find their footing until the late stages of the contest.
A number of key saves were required from stand-in goalkeeper Michel Worm to keep the Spurs in the game, after James Milner’s converted penalty gave Liverpool the lead just before halftime.
Here are some of the best reactions to come from Twitter after the result:

Weak defending and can’t finish a game off! Still some work to do #TOTLIV #YNWA #LFC

Think we would have achieved more than sharing the spoils had it not been LFC-ish to give them too much breathing space in 2nd half #TOTLIV

Easy to say ref gave some wrong decisions, disallowed goal, but at the end of the day we didnt put away any of our chances either #TOTLIV

Missed chances, same defensive issues, subs on too late, players tiring with 20 min remaining. + side – what a player #Mane is! #LFC #TOTLIV
