Melbourne Victory’s run toward the A-League finals hit another roadblock in a 1-1 draw with a 10-man Newcastle Jets earlier this evening.
The Jets shocked Etihad Stadium just after the half-hour mark when Leonardo set up Ryan Kitto for a tap-in which put the visitors ahead. However, holding onto the advantage was to be a hard task after the sending off of Daniel Mullen for two yellow cards.
After dodging some bullets from the opposition early in the second-half, the Victory found a desperately needed equaliser when Besart Berisha controlled a long pass and slid the ball under Mark Birighitti.
While the likes of Kosta Barbarouses produced some attacking momentum, the hunger to finish was not really there from the Victory, who now hold onto sixth spot by just three points.
Here are some of the best reactions to come from Twitter after the result:

The game plan is dead Kevin. The players aren't buying in. Probably the worst game I've seen us play – skill abysmal. @gomvfc #MVCvNEW

What a fantastic point for the Jets. That must be the base level though in terms of performance #MVCvNEW

@NewcastleJetsFC Great effort from the boys though, 10 men, pushing and outplaying the 11 of Victory. Top effort! #MVCvNEW #NTUA

What a pathetic follow up from the 5-0 thumping we copped last week. Jets could've won the game playing with 10 men for 50 minutes #MVCvNEW

Exactly why I didn't waste my Sunday dragging my hungover ass to that game. Utterly pathetic. Shouldn't have even got a point #MVCvNEW
