A frustrated Chelsea gave away the lead on two occasions at Stamford Bridge this morning, sharing the spoils after a 2-2 draw with West Brom.
After beginning the New Year with optimism, the Blues looked ordinary once more as West Brom came to South London with every intention of causing an upset.
Cesar Azpilicueta’s 20th minute tap-in capped-off a bright start by the hosts, yet the first half-hour was probably their best period of the match, as early substitute Craig Gardner would equalise for the Baggies and set them up for a dominant second-half.
Although Chelsea would re-take the lead through an own goal from Gareth McAuley, the visitors always seemed to have the better momentum and although leaving it late, snatched a deserved point in the death after James McClean beat Thibaut Courtois from distance.
The result continues the discontent among the Blues camp, with many pointing fingers at under performing players and questioning if sacking Jose Mourinho was the best move.

Given how this season is going, not sure whether to be incredibly disappointed or happy that we're 6pts & GD out of the relegation zone #CFC

18 pts dropped at home @Chelseafc should deduct wages from #Spineless players and refund Season ticket fans money!

Pulis hasn't just 'realised' how to play positively. He's astute, we'll play that way if we can afford to. It's about winning points. #wba

Chelsea had two options: sack Mourinho or keep him and sell all the players. Seems they made the wrong choice.

We fired Jose Mourinho, yet this Chelsea team are still drawing winnable games. What is the excuse now?

Tony Pulis just took his cap off for a moment. Felt like the moment Darth Vadar took his mask off for Luke in Return of the Jedi. #CFC
