Chelsea silenced the doubts surrounding their recent results with a commanding 2-0 win against Hull City last night.
The match started in nervy fashion for Antonio Conte’s men as Thibaut Courtois was forced into a brilliant save from a Tigers free-kick, however, the visitors quickly adapted to their three at the back setup.
It was not until the hour-mark that the Blues found the breakthrough though, when Diego Costa fed the ball for Willian and his deflected shot bested Eldin Jakupovic.
The on fire Costa was then on hand to seal the result minutes later with a picturesque curling strike, his sixth goal of the campaign so far.
Here are some of the best reactions to come from Twitter after the result:
Costa is an absolute beast. He is back to his best. #HULCHE

Diego Costa back to his best, six goals already this season.
A frightening proposition for opposition defences. #HULCHE— Sam Ellard (@SamEllard) October 1, 2016
Will hold my hands up; I was wrong about Moses. Looked really impressive for us so far this season #CFC #KTBFFH #HULCHE

Good to see a solid defence this time. However need to have more speed when we turn the play. Good performance today boys! ⚽️ 💪 #HULCHE pic.twitter.com/vD83s4fQyI

Great for #Chelsea to finally get a win, it had been a while. The 3-4-3 system looked dodgy at first, but it worked. #Chelsea #HULCHE #PL

City struggled to put 3 passes together today, especially in that second half. #hcafc #cfc #HULCHE

What a poor second half by city just kept giving the ball away we need to stop showing sides respect and get stuck in to them #hcafc

On the 2nd half showing, you have to fear for us. Having said that, it’s hopefully a one off, but time will tell on that. #hcafc

The #Chelsea goals felt more like the result of individual skill than of the team putting #HullCity under pressure.#HULCHE #PremierLeague

Still yet to figure out Conte’s strategy with substitutions. A real head scratcher. 🤔 #CFC #HULCHE
