It was pretty much a training drill for the Socceroos in their World Cup Qualifier against Bangladesh, but nevertheless, they got the job done.
A 5-0 for Australia after coming out the blocks with ferocious intensity in Perth, 2-0 up after just eight minutes.
The Socceroos continued on their merry way scoring four for the half, before the visitors tightened up in the second-half and a bit of preservation edged into the home team’s mind.
Here are the best social media reactions to the performance:
Luckiest man at nib Stadium right now, only had to play 35 minutes of that. #AUSvBAN pic.twitter.com/339RqxIcFI

Considering they couldn’t manage it enough during the Ashes, nice to see Australia putting together a cricket score. #AUSvBAN

To be fair, this is the first time Bangladesh have played football. The only training they’ve had was on Playstation. #AUSvBAN
