You want a worldie? You’ve got it. It’s Goal of the Week time, and there is no shortage of jaws dropping with this submission from Dangerfield.
Up 5-2 in the 88th minute of a FUT Draft Match, Dangerfield’s opponent had very little to play for, but it takes no shine off this goal.
As Godin wins the ball in midfield, he releases it quickly to Neymar whose got plenty of numbers ahead of him. Before long there are two defenders steamrolling their way to the ball carrier as an immediate offside trap springs the line forward. With enough haste Neymar beats the trap with a nicely weighted chipped through ball to none other than CR7 himself, whose got loads of space in front of him.
With about 40 yards to run into and an open man to his right, it’s an easy tap in. But this game is already wrapped up, so why not go for the highlight reel?
Ball coming over the shoulder, Ronaldo sets his feet… and BOOOOM! What a screamer! CR7 shows no respect for the keeper with that effort. That is one of the sweetest volleys you will see from that distance.
What a way to seal a dominant performance. Congrats to Dangerfield for earning this week’s GOTW with a stunning strike.
