Freddie Ljungberg believes Arsene Wenger still has the drive to lead Arsenal to glory, even after marking his 20th year in charge of the club last week.Wenger has celebrated his milestone with a solid start to the 2016-17 season that sees the Gunners in third spot, after winning five of their opening games.

Former club hero Ljungberg says that the desire for ultimate success will never leave the French manager.

“I think people underestimate his hunger to succeed sometimes,” Ljungberg said in an interview with the London Evening Standard.

“He is polite and respectful in interviews but he hates losing.

“He wants to win as much as anyone else.

“When you hate losing that is a gene than you are born with and I do not think Arsene is ever going to lose that.

“Arsene loves coaching. He is on the field all the time and you have got to enjoy it if you are going to be doing it for 20 years.”

Ljungberg won two Premier League titles, three FA Cups and three Community Shields during his time at Arsenal.
