Arsenal’s Francis Coquelin believes the Gunners are showing great focus following recent positive results.
“I think in the last few weeks we have shown our character, in the last two games, we were behind and came back into it,” the French international told the Daily Mail.
The 25-year-old was particularly impressed with the 4-1 victory over Hull City on Saturday night.
“Today we showed that even when a team comes back at us we have the character to finish it off. So that’s good for the future,” Coquelin said.
Five matches into the season Wenger’s men are sitting fourth with 10 points. After losing their first game to Liverpool they have bounced back to collect 10 points from a possible 12.
The Gunner’s commenced their Champions League campaign with a 1-1 draw away to Paris Saint Germain, thanks to an equaliser from Alexis Sanchez.
Coquelin is will be key to Arsenal’s title ambitions this season. His ability to break down play in midfield and get himself into the box to provide an option has been impressive so far.
This weekend Arsenal welcome Chelsea to the Emirates.
