There are times when football’s importance is put into perspective.
Five-year-old Bradley Lowery, an avid Sunderland fan, is battling neuroblastoma, a form of cancer that is most commonly diagnosed in young children and infants.
Bradley’s parents are looking to raise £700,000 so the young boy can undergo potentially life-saving treatment, a method that is not available in the United Kingdom.
Everton Football Club has pledged a donation of £200,000 to support @Bradleysfight in his brave battle. Donate here: https://t.co/fxR5tYwG5L

In an incredible gesture, Everton stepped in, donating £200,000 pounds to Bradley’s fund.
The Merseysiders will auction off match-worn shirts from the match against Bradley’s beloved Mackems and donate the proceeds to the fund.
