Outside90’s Luke Sale casts an eye over the worst three individual performances from this morning’s 1-1 draw between Chelsea and Manchester United.

Oscar

The young Brazilian is perhaps the most obvious choice for this section.

He was rarely sighted during his 55 minutes on the pitch – other than an early chance skied over, and spent most of that defending space, as Chelsea appeared happy to concede possession to the high defensive line of United.

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson

Was rarely found wanting on the left-side of defence throughout this contest and managed to put in a couple of decent crosses, including the one which ended up at Lingard’s feet for the opener. But his inexperienced was exposed when he was not up with United’s line in the dying stages – allowing an opportunist-like Costa to snatch a point for the Blues.

Willian

His work-rate, effort and passion is always evident but his normally reliable ability from set pieces was severely lacking tonight. Time and time again the ball was either under or over hit and scarcely caused a problem for United’s back line that appeared to be under instruction to foul any time Chelsea looked like building up some attacking rhythm. A rare blip on an otherwise top season for the Brazilian.
