Burnley have broken their club transfer record overnight by completing the signing of midfielder Steven Defour from RSC Anderlecht. The 28-year-old joins the Clarets on a three-year deal and is expected to feature when they welcome Liverpool to Turf Moor this weekend.

West Ham have officially made a a season-long loan deal for striker Jonathan Calleri. The Argentine is now free to link up with his new club having represented his country at the Olympics in the past few weeks and boasts a record of 39 goals over 90 appearances in the last two years.

Slaven Bilic is also closing in on yet another fullback rumours the Evening Standard. The Hammers are said to be on the verge of signing 24-year-old Achraf Lazaar from Italian club Palermo.

It appears that Manchester City have completed another summer signing, with 22-year-old Pablo Mari joining from Spain’s Gimnastic Tarragona. The defender will not feature for the Sky Blues this season, however, as he has been sent straight back to Spain’s second tier on loan to Girona.

Mari is not the only player to be loaned to Spain from the Etihad, with youngster Manu Garcia joining La Liga side Deportivo Alaves for the 2016-17 season. The young midfielder has only made four senior appearances for City, managing to score his first goal at senior level in the process.

Manchester United are looking to act quickly as they make a move for Southampton’s Jose Fonte, with Arsenal reportedly also interested in the defender. The Daily Mirror is speculating that United are set to offer Marcos Rojo as part of the deal which would bring the 32-year-old to Old Trafford. Southampton have reportedly made a move to keep Fonte at the club though, offering him a new contract according to the Daily Telegraph.

West Brom’s pursuit of Leicester City fullback Jeffrey Schlupp appears to be over this summer Claims the Guardian. It appears increasingly likely the Ghana international will stay with the Foxes beyond this summer, with the club already having rejected two bids from the Baggies.

Rumours of Joe Hart’s exit from Manchester City will only be fueled further after the Englishman once again watched from the bench as his team routed Steaua Bucuresti 5-0 in Champions League qualifying earlier today. Sky Sports reports that Everton and Sevilla are set to battle it out to secure his services.
