Sunderland manager David Moyes has turned to former club Manchester United in order to add reinforcements to his defence before the start of the new season. The Black Cats have confirmed a double swoop for 21-year-old pair Paddy McNair and Donald Love, who were both handed their debuts by Moyes’ replacement, Louis van Gaal.

West Ham United have continued their busy summer after confirming the loan signing of Argentinian striker Jonathan Calleri. The 22-year-old is currently owned by Uruguayan club Deportivo Maldonado but recently spent a loan period at Brazillian club Sao Paulo, where he scored 16 goals in 30 appearances.

Swansea City have confirmed they have broken their club transfer record in order to sign striker Borja Baston from Atletico Madrid for £15.5 million. The 23-year-old will link up with the South Wales club on a four-year deal and is set to be handed the no.10 shirt.

In arguably the best news for Watford fans this summer, Odion Ighalo has signed a new five-year with the club. The 27-year-old has been linked to a number of clubs throughout the summer but with his future now set, he will look to improve on his return of last season.

With a number of senior defenders injured and unavailable for the first match for the season, Arsenal are moving closer to a defensive signing. The Guardian is reporting that the Gunners have reached an agreement with Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi over personal terms but still need to reach an agreement with his club over a suitable fee.

Chelsea have reportedly made the first move for Liverpool target Joao Mario according to reports in Portugal. The Daily Express is reporting that the Blues have launched a £39 million bid for the Portuguese international who was a part of the recent European Championship victory.

Rumours linking Joe Hart with a move away from Manchester City have once again surfaced with the Mirror claiming Pep Guardiola wants a ‘sweeper keeper’ between the sticks this season. Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen is once again the man being linked with a move to the Etihad this summer.

Aston Villa are set to look to the Premier League for a replacement for Ashley Westwood, who is set to join Burnley according to reports. The Mirror is claiming Socceroos captain Mile Jedinak could possibly be the man to fill the void, with his future at Crystal Palace unclear after he was stripped of the captaincy earlier this week.
