The Wanderers are quickly cementing their position at the summit of the A-League table, yet playmaker Dario Vidosic believes the team will only get better.

Speaking to the media yesterday ahead of the New Year’s day match against former-club Adelaide United, Vidosic stated that Western Sydney’s nine-game unbeaten run is just the beginning of what the team can accomplish this season.

“We are top of the table and there is still a long way for us to go in terms of improvement,” said the 28-year-old.

“We are still getting our gameplan together…the fitness levels will go up and that will help us carry out our game for the full 90 minutes.”

The Wanderers finished 2015 with a 2-0 win over Newcastle Jets, also capping-off a memorable December run which included a 2-0 win over Melbourne Victory.

Vidosic himself has made eight appearances for Tony Popovic since returning to the A-League, helping to form a team that has not tasted defeat since late October.

“We have a great squad that I fully expect to be challenging for honours at the end of the season.

“Still, we know there is a long way to go…so we are fully prepared and we will keep developing every single day.”

Western Sydney host Adelaide at Pirtek Stadium on Friday Night.
