Daniel Sturridge was offered to Arsenal the player’s agent this transfer window, Goal have reported today, but Liverpool are adamant that their star forward is staying put at least for the time being.

The player has struggled with fitness and subsequently form as a result, and has had a series of public spats with manager Jurgen Klopp.

Sturridge’s preference to play centrally has largely fallen on deaf ears with the German manager, leading to speculation surrounding the striker’s future at the Merseyside club.

The 26-year-old scored 13 goals in 25 games last season, despite struggling for continuity in performance, having struggled with a raft of injury concerns.

Liverpool’s enigmatic striker is a boyhood Arsenal fan, and with Arsenal’s heavily reported interest in securing a world class striker before the window closed,

Arsene Wenger has spent £100m on new players this summer with Lucas Perez, Shkodran Mustafi, Granit Xhaka and Rob Holding signing.

Goal have reported that Liverpool will not let the striker move this window, with no official offers coming in this window.
