It’s a derby that is only three years young, but the clash between Sydney FC and the Western Sydney Wanderers has grown to be one of the most highly anticipated fixtures in the Australian sporting calendar.

There is no other sport in the country that can replicate the explosive atmosphere of the Sydney Derby, which has become a flashpoint for highlighting the historical and geographical divide between Eastern and Western Sydney.
Stolen tifos, constant bickering and heated chants have become the norm between both sets of fans. And amongst all the colour and noise, sometimes a football match breaks out. If previous clashes are anything to go by, expect a lot of goals. And a lot of tackles.
The derby has not gone without controversy on the field either, with confrontations between players reaching boiling point on several occasions.
