According to Goal.com, Chelsea have had a €25 million offer accepted for Inter’s Croatian winger Marcelo Brozovic, but have yet to iron out the personal details.
Goal’s report suggests the deal is more than likely to be resolved before the 31 August transfer window deadline, with talks ongoing between both parties.
It is understood Brozovic is nutting out a pay rise in an attempt to force through a move to the Londoners, which in turn has been made very clear to both parties.
Chelsea have confirmed they will not partake in a swap with Inter. Cesc Fabregas’ long-term future is in jeopardy and he has been linked with a move to the San Siro.
However, after the signings of Joao Mario and Gabriel Barbosa, the Serie A side must raise some considerable funds as they are coming under risk of breaching Financial Fair Play rules.
Brozovic has made 32 appearances for Inter and represented Croatia in the Euros this past summer.
