Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s first game as QPR manager ended in a draw as QPR failed to score against a tough Burnley side.

Only one change was made from their previous outing at Reading, as Karl Henry came in for youngster Michael Petrasso. The game was a tale of two-halves, as the Rangers came out strong, pressing high up the pitch and enjoying possession.

However, the home side tired in the second period and it was Burnley who looked the more likely to find the breakthrough. In the end neither team could find a winner and they took a point apiece.

QPR

Rob Green – 5.5: Standard day at the office for the goalkeeper with few balls challenging him.

James Perch – 5: Did a reasonable job on the right. Might have hoped for better after he had a shot blocked from the box’s edge early on.

Nedum Onouha – 6: Good game from the captain. Worked well to neutralise the threats of Sam Vokes and Andre Gray.

Grant Hall – 6.5: Continued his good form with a valiant defensive effort. Also came close to scoring late on, but his header was cleared off the line.

Paul Konchesky – 5: Not involved much, but was sound in defence.

Karl Henry – 5: Was brought in to break up play up and he did exactly that. Should have done better, however, from 12-yards out.

Ale Faurlin – 5.5: A standout for Rangers and crafted some decent chances for the home side in the first-half. Looked a different player in the second though.

Matt Phillips – 5.5: Demonstrated his ability to make space and slip past people, but was less effective when playing centrally.

Junior Hoilett – 5.5: Another good week for the Canadian who is enjoying somewhat of a revival at Loftus Road. Made way for Charlie Austin in the second-half.

Sandro – 5: Walked all over Jones in the first-half. Was absolutely exhausted after the break though.

Leroy Fer – 5: Not a very inspiring performance from the Dutchman, particularly in the second-half.

Substitutes

Charlie Austin – 5: Gives a decent performance every time he steps on the pitch, but Rangers failed to create any clear-cut opportunities for the striker.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas – 5: Nearly put one away minutes from fulltime but, the ball drifted wide of the post.
