Barcelona is set to report Brazilian club Santos to football’s governing body FIFA, according to Spanish publication Sport.

It comes following their decision to sell striker Gabriel Barbosa also known as Gabigol to Inter Milan in the final days of the summer transfer window.

The young Brazillian linked up with the Italian club for an initial fee of around €25 million, but the Spanish giants are reportedly not happy with the way the deal played out.

Mundo Deportivo is reporting that during Barcelona’s discussions with Santos to sign Neymar, Barça elected to pay €7 million to have a preference on three of their players.

This meant Barcelona would be given time to match the offer of another team that had been accepted by Santos for either Barbosa, Victor Andrade and Giva.

With the deal completed with only 48 hours remaining in the transfer market, the Catalans believe they weren’t given enough time to respond to Inter’s accepted bid.

This is not the first time the pair have clashed regarding transfers, with Santos having reported the Spanish club to FIFA after Neymar started negotiations with his current club over personal terms without permission from the Brazilians.
