Spanish defender Hector Bellerin looks set to be offered a new deal by Arsenal, with the Gunners looking to secure the player’s long term future at the club.
That’s according to ESPN, who claim that the North Londoners want to ward off any interest from Premier League rivals Manchester City and the 21-year-old’s former club, Barcelona.
The full-back made the move to the Emirates as a 16-year-old back in 2011, and still has three years to run on his current contract and has grown into a key cog of Arsene Wenger’s side.
The club are reportedly looking to offer Bellerin an extra two years on top of his current deal.
Since making his Premier League debut back in the 2014/15 season, the 21-year-old has gone on to make 63 appearances, scoring three goals and providing seven assists from defence.
While talks are yet to begin, Bellerin is set to follow Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez in being offered new deals by the club as Arsenal look to tie down their stars.
