Barcelona are reportedly close to the signing of Valencia striker Paco Alcacer after a long-standing rumoured interest.

Goal is reporting that the 22-year-old passed a medical on Monday, and that the move is close to completion.

Luis Enrique has been on the lookout for back-up to his star forwards, spending much of the transfer window trying to strike a deal with Valencia.

The Spanish international reportedly arrived late to his national team’s training camp as he finalised the move with the Catalan giants.

Barcelona are reportedly set to pay €30 million for the player upfront, with an additional €5 million in bonuses which could be paid at a later date.

Alcacer has become one of the hottest prospects in Spanish football, having scored 24 goals over the last two La Liga campaigns.

The attacker has also made a strong start to his career on the international stage, scoring 6 goals in 13 appearances.

Barcelona youngster Munir El Haddadi appears to be heading in the other direction, if the same report is to be believed.

The 22-year-old will only complete his move to Los Che, once his current club announce the signing of Alcacer.
