Outside90’s Joshua Scarcella breaks down the biggest talking points to come out of the weekend’s Serie A action.
Roberto Donadoni the difference at Bologna
Roberto Donadoni spent the previous three seasons in charge of the once successful Parma, before their much publicised bankruptcy last season. Bologna somehow managed promotion back to the Serie A for the current campaign after the club’s managerial merry-go-round, with three coaches appointed in an 18 month period.
It seems Donadoni’s arrival at Bologna is a breath of fresh air for the club. Three wins in four matches, playing attractive attacking football and with the players developing some key partnerships, namely Godfred Donsah and Luca Rizzo, the new coach has Bologna on the right track to have a successful 2015=16 in Serie A.
Donnarumma Day
It seems that Diego Lopez finds himself second-choice goalkeeper for the third time in his career, after being dropped by Sinisa Mihajlovic three-weeks ago for 16-year-old Gianluigi Donnarumma.
In his forth match for the senior team, Donnarumma made some impressive saves to keep Milan’s chance at a win alive against Atalanta, however. his teammates could not replicate his heroics. Mihajlovic’s faith is being repaid in a big way and looks set to continue.
