The official schedule for the 2016 FFA Cup’s opening round was released earlier today.
Commencing on the 27th of July, the third installment of the knockout tournament will see last year’s surprise packet Hume City face the Marconi Stallions in the first game, with a NSW derby between Blacktown City and Sydney United 58 also highlighting an opening day that features all member federation teams.
Matchday two sees Central Coast Mariners take on Green Gully and the Wanderers against the Phoenix in an all A-League clash, plus a quality match-up between the SA Metrostars and Bentleigh Greens.
The 2015 Champions Melbourne Victory start their campaign on the third of August with a visit to Hunter Stadium, with A-League champions Adelaide United also in action against Redlands United.
The last day of opening round fixtures will feature the anticipated showdown between the Wollongong Wolves and Sydney FC, along with Brisbane Roar facing Perth Glory.
