It was another emphatic performance by Real Madrid, recording a 3-0 victory against Levante at the Santiago Bernebau last night.

The visitors began the match well and certainly threatened on occasion, but is was the Galacticos who took the early lead via explosive Brazilian Marcelo, after a beautiful one-two with Cristiano Ronaldo.

As imagined, it all went downhill for Levante from this point, as they struggled to string together fluent and cohesive waves of attacks. Of course, it would not have been a Real win without Ronaldo on the scoresheet and indeed the moment arrived with a superb right-footed strike from a Toni Kroos ball. The Portuguese has officially overtaken club legend Raul Gonzalez’s record (323) of the most league goals scored.

While the visitors had the odd scoring opportunity, goalkeeper Keylor Navas proved to be a defiant figure between the posts for the hosts.

Los Blancos sealed the victory with a Jese Rodriguez strike to make the final result a comprehensive  3-0 and place them back atop the La Liga table.
