Liverpool welcome reigning Premier League champions Leicester City to Anfield this Saturday, and there is one stat that should have Reds fans feeling confident ahead of the massive tie.
In the last eight years, the Reds have maintained an undefeated record against reigning Premier League champions at Anfield.
Champions Leicester travel to Anfield on the back of an up and down start to the season, losing to Hull City on the opening day before drawing with Arsenal and defeating Swansea before the international break.
Both teams sit with four points apiece after the opening three weeks of the Premier League season.
The match also marks the unveiling of Anfield’s new Main Stand. The redeveloped stand has been transformed into one of the largest all seater single stand’s in European football and a world class facility for fans to see the Reds play.
The club has added around 8,500 seats – taking the overall capacity to 54,000, enabling more fans to add their voice to the Anfield.
All systems go for Saturday! Kickoff: 5:30pm.
