It is impossible to go past the man who won the game. Zaza was somewhat fortunate after his strike took a touch off Raul Albiol that left Pepe Renia helpless, but his strike drew the error. Even with the bigger names of Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala on the pitch, it was left to the unheralded Zaza to make the difference.

Andrea Barzagli

The Juventus defence struggled last time these teams met, but Barzagli put in a solid shift for his team, intercepting passes and clearing dangerous balls in and around the box. He was key to keeping Napoli’s attacking prowess away from goal and was a key cog in a vital match.

Claudio Marchisio

Picking a third top performer was difficult in a game that was destined to end 0-0, but Marchisio was an ever-present in the centre of the field, working tirelessly to make things happen for the Bianconeri. Marchisio also kept the Napoli defence and Pepe Reina on their toes by getting forward and having attempts on goal.
