Should Zinadine Zidane fail to win the Champions League this season he could be facing the axe says Marco Credentino of Gazzetta World.

Following the La Liga loss to Atletico Madrid the pressure continues to pile up on the under-performing Los Blancos and with notoriously trigger happy President Florentino Perez still at the helm, no cost will be spared to find a new manager.

Reports coming out of Italy say that Perez has turned his attention to current Bianconeri boss Massimiliano Allegri.

Allegri has brought his Juventus team to the pinnacle of glory again this season as the Old Lady sit atop Serie A. After a rough beginning to the season, the men from Turin have turn their campaign around to lead Napoli by three points at the summit of the table.

Perez reportedly became a fan of Allegri following Juve’s dismissal of Madrid in last season’s Champions League Semi-finals.

Another possible name for the top job at the Bernabeu is current Tottenham manager Mauricio Pocchetino.

The Argentine has led Spurs to an unexpected title challenge this season and his open style of play has caught the eye of the Madrid President.

Perez is also reported to be looking into the availability of current Germany coach Joachim Low.

Whoever takes the job will have a tough task on their hands, as is always the nature of the Madrid job. Managing the expectations of the players, fans and president has seen many come and go from the post. To combat this Perez is said to be offering €7 million a year.
