Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has admitted that his side are unhappy after their 2-2 draw away to Las Palmas.

Goals from Marco Asensio and Karim Benzema were cancelled out by Tana and Sergio Araujo, whose late equaliser denied Los Blancos the three points in a match where they failed to convert a collection of goal-scoring opportunities.

Bale views the result as an opportunity lost, with his side having held the lead on two seperate occasions.

“We’re disappointed we did not win. We are still unbeaten in the league, but the important thing is to win three points,” he said.

“We were unlucky with the chances we had, but now we play in Dortmund and we have to bounce back. We were unlucky, but that is football.”

It was a match in which Cristiano Ronaldo, Alvaro Morata and Asensio were substituted, presumably in preparation for European competition.

Zinedane Zidane’s men sit on the summit of the La Liga table after six rounds, one point ahead of rivals Barcelona, who won 5-0 at Sporting Gijon.

They are back in action midweek, as they face a red-hot Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park in Champion’s League this week.
