The AVPL has been exhilarating and here we take a close look at the best individual displays on PS4 this week.

GK – Mikey (Not Them Again)

Famously identified as the most underrated player on AUSFIFA, Mikey answered his critics with a brilliant week in goal for Not Them Again. After a stagnant start to the season for a side with huge expectations, Mikey has carried his side through their resurgence with a number of best on ground performances. In just the six matches, Mikey made a huge 30 saves and kept two clean sheets to be the best goalkeeper in week three.

CB – FapFapNinja (Scorgasm CF)

After dominating earlier in the season in midfield, AUSFIFA’s stealthiest masturbator made the move to defence and it has paid dividends. After a minor run of poor performances for Scorgasm CF, FapFap controlled the defence to keep two clean sheets in five matches, while also making 13 tackles.

CB – melbproplayer (Not Them Again)

For the second week in a row, Not Them Again’s premier defender melbproplayer secures his spot in the team of the week. After playing a major role in his side’s rise up the table, Johno again sat at the forefront as Not Them Again managed to continue their climb. He made an impressive 15 tackles over the six games.

CB – kevinxiong1211 (FullManualOnly)

A key cog in FullManualOnly’s title aspirations, Kevin earns himself a place in the Team of the Week for the first time after an imposing week in defence. The central defender, who is more than capable of pushing into the midfield, made a solid six tackles in six matches, while also keeping three clean sheets.

LM – KingScottyG (EE Academy)

One of the few captains who lead by example, Scotty lifted when his team needed him as the EE Academy skipper made a mammoth 29 tackles in the six matches he took part in. Alongside his defensive exploits, Scotty chipped in with a goal and an assist as the Academy side lifted their game in week three.

CM – Bmac2112 (Playnation FFA)

Astonishingly the first Playnation player to receive to place in the team of the week, attacking midfield Bmac stamped his mark on the AVPL with a career-best week for the table toppers. Not only did the midfielder chip in with three goals, but he also did his job remarkably with 12 assists. His defensive game was also on show, amassing 15 tackles over the six matches. It’s form like this that may warrant a case for Bmac to represent his country.

CM – Im_Collie (Imperials)

Having played an imperative role in midfield for Imperials, Collie finally gets the recognition he deserves with a stunning week. The former BALLCHINIAN playmaker assisted a huge seven times in six matches, laying them on a platter for his attacking teammates. He also scored four, showing he is more than capable of finishing off a move.

RM – RuuD264 (The Empire)

The Empire may have found themselves one of the best midfielders this season in RuuD, with the Brunei International showing the AVPL his immense qualities. Despite not scoring and assisting, the midfielder made a huge 30 tackles this week as he continues to lead all comers in tackles made this season.

LF – Ebola (Sam Pang FC)

Not the most well known of strikers, Ebola comes out of nowhere to claim a spot in the team of the week after a productive week for cellar dwellers Sam Pang FC. Ebola scored the most goals of any player this week, finding the back of net eight times while also assisting twice. Hopefully for Sam Pang’s sake, he can keep this form up until the end of the season.

RF – Joey (CAMB FC2)

A surprise inclusion into the team of the week as new club CAMB FC2 see their star striker Joey included in the side. With six goals in six games, Joey has taken his Rivals form into the AVPL, where he is also going at a goal a game. The striker also added three assists as CAMB FC2 started to show some quality.

ST – MitchBraaahz (Imperials)

Yes, you read correctly. After proclaiming himself “average at best” during the week, Mitch came out firing in week three. The striker netted six times and added six assists from six games to tighten his hold on the Golden Boot. Arguably the player of the season so far, Mitch must surely be staking a claim for national team honours.

Performance of the Week – Bmac2112 (Playnation FFA), Round 16

HeroCard_PS4 (2)

Not yet this season have we seen a complete midfield performance of this capacity. Bmac put on a clinic in Playnation FFA’s round 16 game against EE Academy, assisting a gigantic five times as Playnation ran out 5-0 winners. The match played a massive part in Bmac’s rise up the Dishmaster leaderboard.
