The European Championships gives audiences the chance to see the continent’s footballing elite competing on the same stage.

With the first matches now just around the corner, the gang at oulala.com have taken a look at which of Europe’s top five leagues is the most represented at the showcase event.  The English Premier League by far has the most names featuring at Euro 2016 with a total of 105, with the Bundesliga far behind in second place with 61. France’s Ligue 1 has the least players in the tournament, with just 21.

In what may come as a surprise for some, when breaking these players down on a club-by-club basis it is Liverpool which will be the most represented club at Euro 2016, with 12 of the Reds players taking up their respective national kits.

Tottenham and Manchester United follow closely behind, while new Premier League champions Leicester City have only four players in the competition (including the notable absence of Danny Drinkwater from the England lineup). The full list from oulala.com is provided below.
