Brisbane Roar have made it nine points out of a possible nine in their first three home games of the season by beating Perth Glory 1-0, thanks to a well-taken goal by Henrique, in a tightly contested game in front of  over 11,000 fans at Suncorp Stadium.

Brisbane Roar

Jamie Young – 7: Had a brain snap midway through the first half, rushing out of goals. Learnt from his mistake and looked solid in goals.

Jack Hingert – 7.5: After an early knock to his head, the bandaged warrior played well down the right-hand side.

Daniel Bowles – 7.5: Is growing with each passing game. Strong in the tackle and able to play out of the back, will be a selection headache when DeVere and Donachie are fully fit.

Jade North – 7.5: Led by example as captain and is proving to be a wonderful partner for young Bowles.

Shane Stefanutto – 7: Did reasonably well against Castro all game, which is more than can be said about his choice in hairstyle.

Corona – 8.5: With Brisbane skipper Matt McKay missing due to international duty, the midfield relied upon Corona, who performed with aplomb.

Steven Lustica – 7: Was replaced by the attacking Javi Hervas after a well-played game, will hope to get another start in a packed Brisbane midfield.

Dimitri Petratos – 8: Hit the post and had a couple of clear-cut chances. Should have done better, and needs to find that finishing touch. But overall a very strong game.

Thomas Broich – 7.5: Was influential out on the left wing for Brisbane, continues to impress this season.

Nick D’Agostino – 5.5: Will be ecstatic to have earned his debut, but struggled to get past Thwaite who was beside him every step of the day.

Brandon Borrello – 6: Solid first half but drifted off throughout the second, made way for Henrique.

Substitutions

Henrique – 7: Scored the decisive goal and was in tears afterwards. True sign of a club legend as he proved to be the difference.

Javi Hervas – 6.5: Claimed an assist with his first touch in the A-League. Looks like a promising player.

Devante Clut – 5: Struggled to have too much of an impact.
