Newcastle Jets have parted ways with manager Scott Miller, it has been revealed today.

Goal reporter Michael Huguenin revealed today that the former Fulham Under-21 boss had a falling out with assistant coach Luc Trani on a recent tour of China, with Trani being sent home by the manager.

Details surrounding the incident are yet to be revealed, but no reports have indicated that Trani’s time at the club has ended, suggesting that the new owners have sided with the assistant coach over Miller.

The news comes 29 days out from the new A-League season, and only less than three months after the club was sold to Chinese businessman Martin Lee.

The Jets finished in eighth position last season, and had already signed imports Aleksandr Kokko, midfielder Wayne Brown, Ivan Vujica as well as a number of young Australian players including Andrew Nabbout, Andrew Hoole and Devante Clut.

The 34-year-old joined the Jets at the beginning of the 2015-16 season, leading the club to eighth place in the A-League standings, eight wins, six draws and thirteen losses.
