Benny Jones had the pleasure of speaking to newly appointed Newcastle Jets captain Nigel Boogaard on the Daily Football Show.
Fresh off the A-League season launch, Boogaard said he was excited to kick-start the new season with the Jets and admitted the club needed to right the wrongs of the past.

The former Central Coast Mariners and Adelaide United defender has been a mainstay of the A-League ever since its inception in 2005-06.
After making his name with the Reds for five seasons, the 29-year-old decided to opt for a change of scenery during the off-season moving to Newcastle.
An impressive pre-season has seen the centre-back influence the coaching staff enough to grant him with the club captaincy.
Boogard himself said that it’s something he’s very proud of and is relishing the challenging of leading the Jets for the upcoming campaign.
