New Zealand Football (NZF) have announced fixtures for the All Whites’ Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) third round campaign set to begin in November.

The All Whites will host their first game at Auckland’s QBE Stadium against New Caledonia on 12 November before hosting Fiji at Westpac Stadium in March next year, with potential intercontinental play-off games to be shared between the two venues.

NZF chief executive Andy Martin said he was looking to the times ahead for the national team.

“This is great news and we are looking forward to seeing all of New Zealand get behind the All Whites as we look to qualify for the World Cup in 2018,” Martin said.

“Even now, seven years on (after qualifying for the 2010 World Cup), we have football fans tell us that was one of the best sporting moments they have ever experienced.

“It was an amazing occasion for football in this country and we hope we can recreate that atmosphere, across the entire qualification competition, and capture the nation once again.

“The All Whites have a very exciting calendar coming up and I am sure the home crowd will play a huge part in the team’s chances of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup.

“It is a massive opportunity for Anthony Hudson and his team and one they are working incredibly hard towards.”

The All Whites last reached the World Cup finals in 2010, where they went through the group stage unbeaten.
