A world class performance from Fornaroli secured City their passage through to the Semi Finals next weekend.

Unfortunately for the Glory, a number of their big names did not rise to the occasion as they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at AAMI Park. City, led by superstars striker Bruno Fornaroli, were the dominant side in the first half and retained enough control over proceedings in the second half to secure a clean sheet.

Here are the three worst performers from the match:

Chris Harold (Perth Glory) – Was a doubt coming into the match and was clearly struggling throughout the match. He failed to have any influence on the game and his touches were very limited. This was also through lack of service but he is usually good at coming and getting the ball to become involved in the attacks but he was just lacking that cutting edge tonight.

Shane Lowry (Perth Glory) – Lowry through himself about in the first half and was lucky to not be sent off for a reckless challenge on Caceres. He struggled to deal with Fornaroli who was clearly getting under the skin of the Glory defender. For such a big game he needed to step up and limit Fornaroli’s time on the ball and but instead he was just off the pace which forced him into making a number of fouls throughout the game.

Krisztian Vadocz (Perth Glory) – Vadocz has been tremendous for Perth since they signed him back in January but he was not at his best tonight when it mattered. He struggled to keep pace with Caceres and Mooy who bossed the midfield. He was caught between the two City midfielders and ended up doing a poor defensive job on both of them. His passing game out of the back is also usually to a much higher standard and this lack ball control did not help Perth to try and fight a comeback.
