Stand-in Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny was quite vocal following his side’s 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League.

It was a tough encounter for the Gunners who fell behind after conceding their faster ever goal in the Champions League with an Edison Cavani header opening the scoring after 45 seconds.

Arsenal managed to rally and securing an equaliser to escape from Paris with a point which the stand in captain was happy with.

“I think it’s a good point but we came here with our ambition and we wanted to have the three points, but when we start like this it’s difficult to play,” he said post-match

“Maybe in the final third we didn’t find the good ball to score, but we came back. During the game against Southampton in the Premier League we slept and we need to change this in the future. We need to be strong from the first minute to the end.

“During the game we were pretty well but if you start like this it’s difficult. Sanchez played well. We found him between the lines. Both teams tried to play nice football tonight. It was a good game.”

The central-defender was clear in his message as the Gunners search for continued improvement after a slow start to the season.
