Barcelona’s 100% La Liga record came to a resounding end as they suffered a 4-1 mauling at the hands of a rampant Celta Vigo.
A wonderful opening goal from former Barca striker Nolito was followed by a brace from Liverpool discard Iago Aspas, before substitute John Guidetti killed any thoughts of a comeback from the hosts, whose hopes had been raised by Neymar’s consolation.
Barca’s first league defeat of the season sees them slip to fourth in the table as they were surpassed by new leaders Celta and arch rivals Real Madrid, who narrowly defeated Athletic Bilbao.
