Liverpool fans are in dreamland after the capture of Jurgen Klopp as the new manager of the club on a three-year deal.
It’s an appointment that has sent the Merseyside club’s fans into a frenzy, as one of England’s most successful clubs tries to claw their way back to a position of credibility in the football world.
The three year terms that the former Borussia Dortmund agreed to will see the 48-year-old net a whopping £5m a year, plus huge bonuses for European qualification, if reports are to be believed.
After the topsy-turvy reign of Brendan Rodgers there’s a sense of renewed optimism with the capture of such a talented manager.
Make no mistake, it’s a major coup for the club who currently sit in tenth position on 12 points from a possible 24 points.
They face a daunting run of league fixtures in Klopp’s his initial two months, with a trip to Tottenham Hotspur in his first match as Liverpool boss, plus away trips to Chelsea and Manchester City.
